As of 30 June 2026, the TALENT PASS consortium had completed 16 mobilities totalling 27 weeks of secondment activity (the equivalent of 6.75 person-months) across 12 talents out of the 20 individuals scheduled for the 2026 mobility sequence, from a total of 22 talents. The 27 weeks successfully completed correspond to 45.0% of the 2026 operational allocation and 16.8% of the overall project mobility target, a substantial share of the annual plan delivered within the first semester of the year.

Sending and Hosting Institutions

Among the home institutions sending talents, ECOIND led the implementation by sending 13 weeks (3.25 person-months) of secondments, corresponding to 21.7% of the annual mobility allocation, followed by ICMPP, the project coordinator, with 10 weeks (2.50 person-months; 16.7%) and IST-ID with 4 weeks (1.00 person-month; 6.7%). Among the host institutions receiving talents, CROWDHELIX led the implementation by hosting 6 weeks (1.50 person-months) of secondment activities, followed by ITECAM with 5 weeks (1.25 person-months). IST-ID, FARPLAS and OPC each hosted 4 weeks (1.00 person-month) of secondment activity.

Profiles and Directions of Secondments

By staff category, the completed secondments involved six researchers, who performed 16 weeks of secondments, two members of the administrative staff, accounting for 10 weeks, and one member of the management staff for a single week. In terms of geographical distribution, 9 secondments, corresponding to a total of 15 mobility weeks, were implemented from widening to non-widening countries, while 7 secondments, accounting for 12 mobility weeks, took place between widening countries. From an intersectoral perspective, 13 secondments were carried out from the academic to the non-academic sector, whereas 3 secondments took place between academic institutions.

Turning Mobility into Shared Knowledge

The feedback received from the talents who have returned to their home institutions has been highly positive. The consortium is now preparing to launch the post-secondment Knowledge Transfer / Debriefing Sessions, which will bring together the returning talents, their home institution mentors, and other project talents to facilitate knowledge transfer, mutual learning, and the exchange of best practices.
